Four members of the All Blacks' Rugby World Cup-winning squad - Keven Mealamu, Jerome Kaino, Adam Thomson and Isaia Toeava - will start for the Barbarians against Australia at Twickenham.

Another World Cup winner Richard Kahui is on the bench and Canterbury Crusaders centre Robbie Fruean is in the starting 15.

The Barbarians will be captained by former Springboks lock Victor Matfield and managed by recently retired All Blacks coach Graham Henry and Steve Hansen, his longtime assistant and possible successor.

Saturday's match will bring down the curtain on Matfield's 10-year international career.

"He's a legend in the game - 110 tests for South Africa, four caps for the Barbarians," said Hansen.

The Barbarians, who will be fielding players of 10 nationalities, have beaten New Zealand and South Africa in the last two years.

The team features England rugby league fullback Sam Tomkins on the wing, in a one-off appearance in the 15-man game.
